Pavane at the Norwegian Church, Cardiff.

Based in Cardiff, Pavane Early Music Consort has been performing and recording instrumental and vocal music from the medieval to the early baroque periods (about 1100 to 1650) since 1992. We play a wide variety of authentic medieval and renaissance period instruments and our style varies from lively and raucous to courtly and domestic.

You are invited to explore this site, listen to some of our music or watch a video of us performing. We have CDs for sale and you can learn more about our music, concerts and instruments. We are working on the Purcell's opera 'The Fairy Queen' with Opera in Situ and plan to have performances in May/ June next year. More details to follow.
